- Iconography: Ideally this would be a field that (when necessary) allows for lengthy description and discussion; As placeholder text: The depicted figured is often interpretted as emperor Galerius based on the site's association with that ruler and the figure's corpulance (indicated by the prescence of a double chin). While the identification is highly possible (see Bergman's argument in LSA 845 discussion), Tetrarchic iconography was designed first and foremost to suggest the interchangability of the co-emperors, meaning that it is difficult--if not impossible--to convincingly distinguish between the portraits of any two Tetrarchic emperors.
